After two years of IVF treatment, Cassie finally conceives. While on a run she suffers a miscarriage. Cassie and her long-time partner, Nia, are left to navigate the emotional devastation in its wake. Nia tries unsuccessfully to reach Cassie who is consumed with guilt and shame and sinks further into isolation and despair. Unable to bridge the distance between them, Nia moves out to give them both the time and space to process their loss. In therapy, Cassie struggles to deal with her overwhelming feelings, as Nia meditates alone in her grief. Finally able to face her experience head-on, Cassie can reconnect with Nia and move forward in their lives together.
