Longline: When an estranged mother moves in with her daughter and granddaughter, she discovers a new connection to family she never had. But when her old ways rear their ugly head, she and her daughter must confront their painful past or be stuck repeating it.

After catching fire to her own flat, Sally is forced to move in with her only next-of-kin, her estranged daughter, Mel, and granddaughter, Lily. When Sally’s reckless behavior becomes a risk to Lily, Mel threatens to put Sally into a care home. Sally decides to leave her daughter again without saying anything, and makes Lily promise not to tell. But when Lily follows her grandmother attempting to make her get away, Sally is forced to think about someone besides herself, and she and Mel must confront their painful past to heal and become the family they never were.
