Night Fear
Longline: When a recovering addict suffering from severe anxiety runs out of his meds, he cancels plans with a friend and locks himself in his flat for the night. But as his fear takes hold, his anxiety turns to paranoia and sends him down a rabbit hole that he will never return from.

Noah, a recovering addict in his twenties, spends his days temping and nights clubbing with his best friend, Suki. One Friday afternoon, Suki finds him chain-smoking outside work, and he confesses he has been plagued by nightmares of being murdered. She urges him to take a nap and meet her later at the club.
At home, Noah realizes he has run out of his anxiety medication and the pharmacy is closed. Unable to reach his sponsor, he cancels his plans and stays in for the night. As his anxiety builds, he finds small bottles of alcohol left by his mother and drinks, only to spiral further out of control.
Convinced someone is in his flat, Noah barricades himself in, obsessively locking doors, shutting blinds, and carrying a knife from room to room. He finally retreats to the bathroom, where he hears his phone ringing from the bedroom floor outside. Summoning courage, he rushes to retrieve it, slips in his panic, and falls onto the knife. Unable to reach his phone,
calm finally settles over him as he stares up at the ceiling and takes his last breath.
