PeteR.DAVENPORT

The youngest of four children, Peter began performing at five years old in his parents' monthly Shakespeare Club and soon after became the youngest company apprentice to the Flint Ballet Company in Michigan. After studying with the Atlanta Ballet, the Joffrey, Alvin Ailey, and the Royal Ballet in London, he attended Sarah Lawrence College, but put his studies on hold to travel the world.
Upon returning Stateside from modeling overseas, the Head of A&R at Geffen Records called him after receiving his demo recording and thus began Peter's acting and singing career. His debut solo album, Clear Day, was released in 2002 on LML Music. He received his BA and MFA from Sarah Lawrence in 2001.
Career highlights include working directly with Stephen Sondheim on the Papermill Playhouse 2-disc recording of Follies on TVT Records, receiving a 2009 INRE Best Actor nod for his portrayal of Fred Graham/Petruchio in Kiss Me, Kate at the Lyric in Boston, and writing and directing his first film, A Family Dinner, which showed at the Cannes Film Festival Court Métrage in 2013. He is the co-writer of Storming Heaven: The Musical, a new work currently in development.
